The Pre-Nursing program at Carter County CTC consists of an established, successful series of courses that allow you to learn about the nursing field.  If you think you want to be a nurse, or are interested in pursing other jobs in the medical field, this is the pathway for you!  We will prepare you for admission to a professional program in nursing.  This pathway focuses on caring for residents in long-term care facilities, where you will learn basic nursing skills that will build a strong foundation of knowledge.  Learn valuable information related to body structures and function, emergency procedures, and medical terminology critical for any job in the medical industry.  Don't want to be a nurse?  That's ok!  Just because you choose to complete this pathway doesn't mean you have to be a full time nurse later.  You will leave with a set of basic skills that you can use for many other jobs and careers in and out of the medical field.
